Star Chests are a new feature added on Update .39.1. They start off as a Bronze Chest that can be redeemed in 3 days. However, you can level up the chest using Stars.
You need 15 stars to level up a Bronze Chest to a Silver one, then 35 stars to Golden and 60 stars to Diamond.
Chests can be redeemed 3 days after redeeming the previous one.
