  • Can you help me out in coding? I like the style of your heroes section in the Main Page and would like to copy it with the acknowledgement of CC-BY-SA, of course this wiki would get credit but I would like to know the sources of it.

    • Sorry about that, was in a hurry. Only grabbed Shadow Lynx Phase though, no other pictures. 

      Took it down and made my own version of the image.

      EDIT: Was looking at your site and noticed the royal wukong skin. Just letting you know the version here was made by me on photoshop. It's slightly different from the one on your site (they look very similar because they were probably made in the same way haha)

  • Article comments is a feature that is going away and is being replaced with the Discussions Footer.  It will show on the main page as well but that can be changed by using CSS and replacing it with the Discussions Activity Feed. I have done this on two of my personal wikis, Planet Coaster and For Honor so you can see what that looks like. For more information on how to add and use the feed, you can go to Help:Discussions_activity_feed.

    If you would like to replace the article comments with the Discussions footer prior to it becoming standard, let me know and I can make the switch. If you then decide to use the feed instead of the footer module on the main page, use the code below. This works for any page if you specify which one in the code but you may need to adjust the width (see that help page for info).

    • I vote for making it standard as soon as possible, seems like a good addition to the wiki and I don't see how we can go wrong with this!

    • Ok, I made the switch. You will now see Discussions at the bottom of the articles. If you want a feed on the main page instead, just add that css I posted above. That will turn the footer off, then use
      <Discussions> 
       in the source (prob right rail?) to embed a feed. Variations are in that help page I linked.

  • im just curious. i had made an edit to Quests. but now that page was deleted and replaced by Weekly Quests. my question is, why was the page deleted to make a different page? why not edit the existing page? sorry that was 2 questions. 

    primary reason for this is, i edited the page for quests for the gameplay page. and used the existing quest link. now that link no longer works due to the deletion.

    • Weekly Quests is a page that was made a long time ago, when quests were introduced. Anything related to quests should be added there :)

      I deleted it because there was already a page for it and It's best to avoid duplicity, so feel free to edit Weekly Quests if you want to contribute anything to it.

      I went ahead and added the gamplay category to it, so it should appear now.

  • Did you by chance remove those tooltips earlier today? When I was talking to someone from the mobile team this afternoon (around 4:30pm PDT) he said that the pages with cards (we looked at the Universal cards and Order) were loading just fine for him on mobile and looked ok.  When I checked them again, they were fine for me too. I mentioned you thought the tooltip might be causing an issue. He would be interested to know if that was in fact causing the horrible load times. Let me know if you noticed a difference or not plz.

    • I disabled the tooltips, but I disabled them about 20 minutes ago so I don't think that was it. Although I do think they contribute to slightly slower loading times, they make the browsing expierence on a computer much more useful as you could check out the cards page and find out info about a card without having to move around through many pages.

      I'd love to re-enable them eventually once I figure out how to make them not appear on the mobile skin.

      I also changed the watermark and removed the navboxes from the top of the Hero pages. Regarding the mobile mainpage, I remember I edited when I first started editing here, so I don't remember if I removed some categories, and If I did, it'd be awesome to have them back as I surely didn't know much about what I was doing haha.

      Could you ask the CSS/Portabilty team if they could check out the Stat Template?

      It shows a small icon representing the stat that is being shown like this: 6.5 Energy Damage and while it looks great (and inline) on PC's, on mobile devices the image is not inline and takes an entire line, making it a bit unpleasing to watch. If you could find out a way to show the image inline on mobile or at least hide the image on mobile, it'd be much appreciated.

    • Just saw this. I dont generally log in over the weekend. I will take a look at the template in the AM and if I don't see it, i will be happy to have someone on the Portability team take a look. 

      Re: Categories.  You can search your own contributions using the options under the Contributions tab.  I don't see where you deleted categories, only created one. 

      I did notice the wordmark and header change on Friday. Thanks for doing that.

  • Hello!

    First, take a look at my last post. The change to Wiki will be global on 10/4 so there is time to remake the wordmark but the sooner the better of course. Next, please check your email for something from me. If you have questions, feel free to reply with them, or let me know here and I can jump into chat and I can explain further. I would also like to introduce a new user here. His name is Tollsunited7 and he is the Admin at Paragon.wiki. Everything is explained in the email but our immediate need is to set up an online meeting.   • With our recent change to the Fandom branding, we are no longer referring to our communites as wikias. They will be called Wiki or Community. Staff has been asked to talk with Admins about the change and ask them to remake wordmarks to use Wiki instead of Wikia and to change any wording to match. The mainpage name should also be changed to reflect this (Edit - Rename). This will also help us compete with SEO for obvious reasons as wiki is a well recognized term. I will leave you to make the visible changes on the site and I will make the change internally on our side. Thanks!
