The Core is the primary objective for each map. To win a match (other than the other team surrendering), a team must destroy the opposing team's Core.
The Core is the source of the minion waves. The Core cannot be targeted until one or more of a team's inhibitors are destroyed. The Core defends itself by firing quick single-target attacks. The Core's attack speed is reduced depending on how many Inhibitors are destroyed.
The Core does follow the same Backdoor Protections rules and has the same Defense Penetration as all Towers and Inhibitors.
